October 1-3 - Fall Foliage Workshop from Beyond the Photography

Join Beyond the Photograph for three days of learning about digital photography in one of the most picturesque destinations in New England. From October first through third we are offering three exciting workshops combining the natural beauty of Stratton with the rustic charm of rural Vermont towns during the fall peak-foliage season.

Choose from one of three workshops, each limited to 15 participants:
Introduction to the dSLR
The Digital Landscape
Portraits: From the exotic to the local

Beyond the Photograph is dedicated to helping photographers of all levels create images that are both more beautiful and more meaningful. Whether learning about better portrait, travel or landscape photography, or in our introduction to the dSLR workshops, students will be presented with strategies to master the technical and the aesthetic as well as the language of the photograph.

This is a great opportunity to delve deeper into your photography with award winning photographers Craig Wallace Dale, Les Jorgensen and John Delaney. Participants will be introduced to the Beyond the Photograph idea that from initial vision to final expression photography is a circular process; every step needs to be understood for its creative potential.

Beyond a workshop: During the days at Stratton you will be working in both classrooms and the spectacular natural landscape right outside. Whether a mountainside waterfall, a local dairy farm or a typical New England town, students will be surrounded by beauty and challenged to make truly memorable photographs.

And there is plenty of time and activities for the entire family. Non-photographer family members can wander the trails of Stratton, retreat to the spa, or shop at the high-end outlets in nearby Manchester. In the evenings you can retreat for a night of fine or casual dining or perhaps a sunset Gondola ride to the top of Stratton (the highest peak in Southern Vermont). This is a truly unique Workshop that combines the expertise of our Instructors with the beautiful setting and amenities of Stratton Mountain, Vermont.
