Drop off your used ski and snowboard equipment for the Annual Ski and Snowboard Swap to benefit Okemo Mountain School. Items are sold on consignment with 25% of the selling price going to OMS. Please no skis, snowboards, or boots over 7 years old. All equipment must be in safe working order.

11/28/2009 Trot-it-Off 5k Race and Tots Trot
Join us for the 2009 Okemo Trot it Off! The 1st Annual Okemo Trot it Off 5k will take place on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Jackson Gore Round House. The Okemo Trot if Off is a family and community-oriented event that takes place each year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. The 5k race is perfect for the avid runner or the family looking to get a little extra exercise on Thanksgiving weekend. The cost to enter the Turkey Trot is $25 per person. All proceeds from the event go to support the Vermont Fuel Dealer Association's Patch Chit Neighbor in Need Fuel Assistance Program. Each participant will receive a t-shirt with their entry. The Tots Trot, a kids fun race will take place just before the adult 5k. The course will take children up to age 12 around the Jackson Gore Inn with a finish line through the archway. Kids and parents who are not running the 5k can then enter the Roundhouse for some hot apple cider and fresh yogurt from Stonyfield. After the 5k race is finished participants of all ages are encouraged to join in the Roundhouse a post-race snack. Schedule of events: 8am Registration opens ($25 registration fee for adults / $15 for kids up to age 12) 9am Tots Trot Kids Fun Race begins 9:15am : Roundhouse opens for activities 9:30am : 5k begins
11/28/2009 The Killarney presents the What I Learned This Summer Rail Jam
Showcase the tricks and style you learned this summer on a brand new Rail. Open to Skiers and Snowboarders of all ages. $20 entry fee. Registration 8-10am in the Base Lodge Mezzanine. Event starts at 11am. Best overall trick walks away with $200 in cash. Lots of swag too!
12/5/2009 ROME Rail Jam
ROME Snowboards will host a Rail Jam here at Okemo Mountain Resort. This is a Pre-Season Jam where you can show off your skills. ROME will be providing prizes/cash for the winners and include a Swag toss after the Jam. Registration will be in the Main Base Lodge, across from Resort Services from 8am - 10am. Practice will be from 10:30 - 11am with the ROME JAM starting at 11am.

We're throwing some light on Bull Run and some cash at competitors. Join us in front of The Sitting Bull at 6pm for the AMP Energy Light The Night Rail Jam. The entry fee is an easy $20 and we're splitting the money with the Ludlow Fire Department who are helping to light the rail. Half to our volunteer fire deparment, half to the winner. Plus, The Killarney is throwing down an additional $250 for prize money AND throwing an after party!

Ten shamrocks will be hidden along Okemo's trails. When kids find one and bring it back to the Main Base Lodge Ski & Ride School desk, they win a special prize bag filled with goodies! A St. Patrick's Day Party sponsored by Guinness will feature musical guests Gypsy Reel from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Sitting Bull Bar & Restaurant. The party continues at The Killarney with more great irish music and Guinness Draught!

Year one was a huge success, so Joey's come on back for year two! We'll find another sweet prize to give away, but we expect people to go bigger and better then last year. You will be judged on three categories: Jump Skill, Rail Skill, and Costume (or your normal attire). The rails will be easy and the jumps small, but costumes are up to you. Let's hope for great weather again so we can get the outdoor BBQ and Beer Garden going again! Don't forget about the Post Party (80s Patry) @ The Killarney starting at 8pm! Under 18 starts at 10AM, Adults strut their stuff at 11AM.
